The series Étoiles de terre (Earth stars) uses the technique of printing on edible paper that Elvia endlessly re-uses.
It is a photograph of a mushroom growing in one of her living installations, which a printing accident has transformed into living, rebellious, galloping matter.
In the same way that the blocks of mycelium in the installation were deemed 'exhausted' by the oyster mushroom producers, this image also illustrates how materials considered 'dead' are teeming with life, precarious though it may be, but infinitely resilient.
